An educational meeting with students was held at the National Aviation Academy (NAA) at the initiative of the Coordination Center for Organ Donation and Transplantation of the Ministry of Health. The main goal of the event was to raise awareness of organ donation among young people and to form the correct public approach to this issue.
Opening the meeting, Galib Suleymanov, Chairman of the Trade Union Committee of the National Aviation Academy, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Law, noted that such meetings strengthen young people's commitment to moral values and a sense of social responsibility: "Such initiatives shape young people both from a human and social perspective."
Speaking later, Yegana Abbasova, Chairwoman of the Board of the Coordination Center, emphasized that organ donation is one of the highest manifestations of humanistic value for society: "Donation is a life-giving decision. We want young people to understand this concept not only as a medical, but also as a moral responsibility."
Then, the Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Center, Gunay Abbasova, made a speech and emphasized the importance of becoming a donor, and that one donor can be a light in the lives of about 8 people: “Donation is not just a medical procedure — it is a supreme value that combines the concepts of compassion, sharing, and human love.”
During the event, students actively participated and asked various questions. Yegana Abbasova, the Chairman of the Board of the Center, answered all the questions in detail and called on students to be more informed in this area.
At the end of the event, an educational video was shown reflecting the importance of organ donation and the changes it creates in human life. The video was met with great interest and emotional impact by the students.
